Residential:
Our residential service is Frank House, a detached house situated
in Twigg Close, Erith. It is a 6-bed registered home and is staffed
24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Outreach:
Our outreach service, known as Reaching Out, is based within Frank
House and supports service users living in Bexley and the surrounding
boroughs. The service is aimed at people living in their own homes
or with family who need support in developing independent living
and social skills.
Counselling:
This service is
for adults on the autistic spectrum and their carers and is managed
by the Trust’s General Manager who is a qualified counsellor.
This, too, is based at Frank House.
Training:
“An Introduction
to Autistic Spectrum Disorder” is offered to anyone working
with or caring for those on the spectrum (teachers, carers, voluntary
workers) who wish to learn something about the difficulties associated
with A.S.D.
Social Group:
Membership of
the group is open to adults with A.S.D. and/or mild learning disabilities
who, because of their disorder, have difficulty in forming a social
network and consequently feel isolated. The group meets approximately
twice per month, usually within the Bexley area and activities are
chosen by the members with staff acting as facilitators.
Drop-In Support
and Advice Service:
The Trust has joined with a group of statutory
and voluntary agencies within the borough to launch this facility
for adults with A.S.D. and their carers. The Drop-In is offered
on the 3rd Monday of each month (except for August and December),
between 10 a.m. and 12 noon at the Betty Tod Centre, 35 Lesney Park
Road, Erith
